JEL Street Marketing

The JEL/YLC members from both Van Buren and Harmony participated in Street marketing activities during the fall festival!

• Oct 11th- Walked in the Fall Festival Parade
• Oct 12th- Set up a booth with the roulette wheel at the kids games
• Oct 12th- Did the Chalk Outlines street marketing event.

October 12th- Fall Festival Kids Day- Be at the bank in Keosauqua at 12:40pm for street marketing and games. (Wear your JEL shirt)
October 29th- Youth Training- 8:30am-3:00pm- Roberts Memorial Building

Harmony has new staff advisor!

The YLC/JEL organization would like to welcome Ms. Morgan as the new YLC/JEL staff advisor at Harmony. She will replace Mrs. Ekle as she is no longer teaching at Harmony High school. We are excited to have Ms. Morgan on board and are looking forward to working with her! YLC/JEL members- be sure to welcome Ms. Morgan!

First Van Buren JEL/YLC Meeting

Today was the first YLC/JEL meeting at Van Buren.

Pizza was provided for breakfast! There were 20 members in attendace for the meeting. The youth were able to sign up to walk in the parades in Stockport, Douds and Keosauqua. They also talked about the Fall Festival Street Marketing event and signed up to work. If you want to work at one of these events please let Mrs. Daugherty know msdaugherty@yahoo.com

A spreadsheet of the yearly activites was handed out and everyone was asked to start thinking about ideas for activities. At the next JEL and YLC meeting officers will be elected so if you are intersted in being an officer make sure you are there!
